Business As Usual

Why are Washington lobbyists and establishment politicians so enamored with Kelly Ayotte?  The answers are right here.

For it, then Against it

As Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte developed a record.  Now she's changed many of her positions in order to run for office.  Did she think we wouldn't notice?

Just Plain Wrong

Sometimes, Kelly Ayotte has been just plain wrong.  These are just a few of the serious errors she made as our Attorney General.

She was for it before she was against it (and vice versa).

She Loves Earmarks, She Loves Them Not...

Power-seekers like Kelly Ayotte have shown throughout history that they will say or do virtually anything to get elected.

The “earmarks” issue provides a perfect example. New Hampshire voters are tired of paying crippling taxes to the federal government and then simply hoping their representatives can steer some fraction of it back home in the form of “pork.” This is a corrupt, unwise system of allocating resources, to say the very least!

As Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte was a huge and unapologetic fan of earmarks. On several occasions, she publicly praised Sen. Judd Gregg for his use of earmarks.

Early in her campaign, Ayotte told one NH newspaper she "does not oppose earmarks" (Nashua Telegraph, 11/12/09). Then she found out that voters are more intelligent than she thought, so she has decided to be against earmarks... that is, at least until she manages to get elected!

Which Master Will She Serve Today? Tomorrow?

Likewise, Kelly Ayotte was against association buyer’s groups for health insurance, but now that she’s under a different set of influences, she supports them.

Are these the kinds of flip-flops we can expect over and over again from Ayotte if she is elected to the Senate? After examining her record, it would be insane to expect anything else.

Run Away and Defend Yourself!

Finally, now that Kelly Ayotte is trying to appeal to New Hampshire Republican voters, she has become a strong proponent of an individual’s right to bear arms in self-defense.

However, as Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte repeatedly urged Gov. Lynch to veto bills that would have expanded New Hampshire’s Castle Doctrine in 2006 (SB 318) and 2009 (HB 160). This has resulted in a backlash against Ayotte, but now she’s changed her tune, hoping New Hampshire voters will simply forget her entire career as Attorney General.

Clearly, it’s time to choose a Republican candidate for US Senate who is NOT Kelly Ayotte.

Fortunately, regardless of what the polls say, three “Not Ayotte” candidates have demonstrated that they have significant support on the ground in this contentious primary. In alphabetical order by surname, these candidates are Jim Bender, Bill Binnie, and Ovide Lamontagne. GOP primary voters are encouraged to research these three candidates and select a Senate nominee who is NOT Kelly Ayotte.
