The ballot question amending Part I, Art. 78 of the N.H. Constitution to raise the age of retirement for judges from 70 to 75 did not pass.  It received 65.6% of the vote, yet a two-thirds majority is required to pass a constitutional amendment.  [Updated 2024-11-12.  Earlier, I said it passed because I thought it only required a simple majority.]

  1. Alex Krantz lost, but came in top among the losing Republican candidates.  This is a good sign for a future run.

  2. Ryan Hebert lost, but also came in top among all the losing candidates.

  3. Victoria Sullivan was an unexpected win, and adds our second liberty vote to the Senate.  Long-term incumbent Democrat Donna Soucy is gone.  Along with another new Senator, Tim McGough in Senate District 11, we now have three liberty votes out of 24 Senators.

  4. Kathleen Paquette was also a surprise victory, even more so—this is a strong Democrat ward.  Long-term incumbent Democrat Amanda Bouldin had decided not to run this year, and Hyacinth Landry was expected to win her seat.  Instead, we picked up another liberty vote.  ▰
